Dee Dee is the founder of The Anderson Bridal Alterations Academy, created from a deep passion for sewing and a desire to teach others the art of bridal alterations. With over 30 years of hands-on experience, she built a thriving home-based business while raising her family and caring for aging parents. Her journey from custom dressmaking to mastering profitable bridal alterations inspired her to launch an online academy focused on helping others turn their sewing skills into a fulfilling, flexible career.

Brenda is a bridal dress designer and alteration specialist based in British Columbia with over 40 years of experience. From furs to wedding gowns, she thrives on challenging projects and loves seeing clients leave with a smile. She is a proud graduate of the Master of Sewing & Design Professional Certification from the Association of Sewing & Design Professionals.

Master Seamstress

Barbie McCormick has had her professional sewing business, Sew Good, in Nampa, Idaho, since 1994.
She has been doing professional alterations since 1991, and custom dressmaking since 1994.
She specializes in formal and couture sewing for both men and women. You can see examples of her
work at www.BarbieMcCormick.com. Barbie has been a member of ASDP since 1996 and earned her
Master Sewing and Design Professional (MSDP) Certification, and her Master Alterations Specialist
(MAS) Certification.
Barbie does extensive bridal alterations every year, from minor nips and tucks, to major remodeling of
vintage dresses.
She’s written several articles for Threads Magazine, the most recent are in the latest (summer) 2025
issue.
Barbie has been teaching intermediate and advanced sewing classes since 2000, and teaches Couture
Sewing workshops through LoveCoutureSewing.com

Adrienne is a Phoenix-based seamstress specializing in bridal alterations, beadwork, and design changes. With a background in production sewing, pattern making, and prototyping, she brings both technical skill and creative flair to her work. She holds a BSD in Architecture & Environmental Design from ASU and completed a two-year hands-on apprenticeship in alterations and bridal.
