2024 symposium blog
Making connections on steroids!
Whew! That was an amazing symposium. I feel like I have spent the last few months connecting with some of the most amazing people as I put this symposium together. What an honor to rub shoulders with these women.
This year’s “Making Connections” symposium really hit home with a lot of people. We had more people sign up than ever before. As I speakwrite, there are still more people signing up to visit the symposium. More people attended the live webinars too. They were recorded, so you can watch them as part of the symposium.
I will keep the 2024 symposium up until March and then it will be added to the symposium category on my website menu and be available with all the other past symposiums.
It was so fun to discuss this topic with expert guests panelists from a variety of perspectives. Bridal shop employees and designers for the most part, want to communicate more with alteration seamstresses. And hearing their voices was vital to the symposium.
As I look back on the process of putting together the symposium, I am humbled by the generosity of all the guest panelists and Brenda LaBolt in donating their time and wisdom to share with others. Nadine Bozeman reached out to me and generously promoted the symposium on one of her podcasts! That was so kind of her. Thanks Nadine. No one is paid. They just want to be part of this. And all were so enthusiastic
when they heard what the topic for this year was.
Making connections is such an important subject, and I hope that we can all do our part to build community and reach out to those in our area. I am going to try harder to do this too in my small corner of the world. Let’s lift each other up.
Love
