Happy hugs going out to you all. I hope you enjoyed the holidays.

I want to get right to the nitty gritty of dreaming big. Whether it’s for your business or personal life, it’s so important to write down those dreams and make them happen. Let’s get started, and apply this to our businesses.

  1. Write down what your most amazing vision for your business would be for 1 year out, 3 years out and 5 years out. The very most ideal working situation, sales $ and work environment. Get very specific for what that looks and feels like in your head. Write it all down. It doesn’t need to be organized, just write from your heart as the feelings come to you. Keep a notebook with you for a few days as you brainstorm. Just jot things down and try not to let negative thoughts talk you out of your dreams.

  2. Organize these thoughts into 1 year, 3 year and 5 year segments. Perhaps a few of your dreams need to be broke down into steps of a ladder. Spread that dream out in a way that lets it begin in 1st year and then evolves into the big dream by the 5th year.

  3. Now focus on your ideal, most awesome 1st year. What specific steps can you do in January to make that happen. Write it down. Think of more steps to add for February, March, ect…… Write them down for each month right now. Get out your calendar and write those steps down on the first day of each month.

  4. If you take care of these small monthly steps and break them down into daily routines, you will be amazed at how much better and easier your dream business can come.

  5. Take charge of your dreams as the facilitator and creator of your business. Throw negativity and excuses out the door. Find ways to make this dream happen. It’s your life and your business.

I started my academy back in 2019 as a dream.

I outlined and created my courses. Then I filmed them. That was so scary to stand in front of a camera. The academy went online March 2020. It launched days before COVID shut things down.

And yet, I have made my dream come true. I need to mention the wonderful support of my sweet hubby and family. And frankly, the academy was financially subsided by my bridal alterations income. I now have more ambitious dreams for the academy, but the original dream has happened above and beyond anything I could have imagined.

My new dream includes helping other fellow seamster’s make their dreams come true for their businesses. I want good things for all of you.

Symposium

The annual symposiums have snowballed into an unexpected and amazing adventure in kindness, generosity and friendship. I cry as I think of how wonderful it has been to “rub shoulders” with my guest panelists over the years. I never imagined it would become such a joy in my life.
